Saarbrücken, Germany

Saarbrücken is only 1hour and 20 minutes from Luxembourg by bus (CFL).
It´s the capital and largest city of the state of Saarland (yes, in Germany).
The origin of the name has different theories, if you are curious about them, google it.
It's worth a visit, specially a long promenade along the Saar river and the Nauwieser district.
On the way, I found this intriguing (and vandalized) door. Below I included more details.

I specially went to Nauwieser following a Deutsche Welle video on three special spots in Saarbrücken, all recommended by Sascha Stroschke. Unfortunately, I didn´t make it to the old grain silo. But hey, I have an excuse to come back.

The different bridges give this "ville aux multiple facettes" a particular outlook.

“But I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.” wrote Aldous Huxley in Brave New World...
Yes, the city is full of shops of renowned brands. However, you can get away from the shopping malls, Europa Galerie, Bahnhofstraße, etc.
The answer is the Saar River (a right tributary of the Moselle) and the beautiful and changing skies.
